I’m starting a newsletter.
If you’ve followed me for any length of time, you know I already share updates on my blogs, and I’m not exactly shy about posting when something is brewing. So why add a newsletter?
Because the internet has become a scavenger hunt.
Between social media algorithms, disappearing posts, and the general chaos of “wait—where did I write that?”, a newsletter lets me share the highlights in one place, directly—without asking you to chase updates or hope a platform feels generous that day.
Think of it as an occasional “hello-from-my-desk” note.
What you can expect
This will be low frequency—about four to six issues a year—and I’ll only send it when I actually have something worth sharing. When I do send one, it will include:
- Behind-the-scenes notes from whatever I’m writing (and revising… and revising again)
- Book news and announcements
- The occasional small discovery that makes me stop and say, “Well THAT can’t be a coincidence”
- Links to recent blog posts you may have missed
When it starts
The first issue will go out in a couple of weeks.
Want in?
This blog will stay author-focused. The newsletter is the occasional ‘buffet plate’—a curated mix of book news, behind-the-scenes notes, and highlights from both blogs. Don’t worry—I’ll keep the topics in their own little sections. I hate it when the foods touch.
If you’d like to receive the newsletter, you can subscribe here:
No spam. Unsubscribe anytime
And if newsletters aren’t your thing, no problem—keep reading the blog as you always have. (Also: unsubscribing is always one click, no awkward breakup note required.)
Warmly,
Deb Holman
